“This isn’t a polished travel diary; it’s a raw, funny, and unflinching account of a young woman stumbling into war zones, coups, earthquakes, LSD trips in Cretan caves, camel auctions in Israel, and KGB arrest in the Soviet Union—only to discover that the chaos was leading her toward something bigger than coincidence. God.”

You’ll rarely read a book with more adventures, dangers, and supernatural events than Truth Found Me, A Life Too Wild to Be Coincidence. Not many have ventured into a war zone, lived by naked faith with no salary, gone to forty countries, traveled across the width of the USA in a covered wagon team evangelizing, smuggled Bibles into closed countries, and been arrested by the KGB. She made her share of mistakes, searching for meaning. Yet God pursued her. Then she had a dramatic encounter with Jesus.

Melody Miller-Mann has been a lot of things: a journalist, a nurse, an art director, a national newsletter editor, a wife (three times!), a homeschool mom of three daughters, and an RV nomad covering thirty-eight states. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1972 with a degree in journalism—back when people still typed on actual typewriters. She later earned her BSN from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1981, and has studied natural solutions to health problems for decades.
She was inducted into both the Quill & Scroll Journalism Honor Society and National Nurses Honor Society, and was named to Who’s Who of American Women. She has been an emergency room nurse, a newborn nurse, and a school and camp nurse. She created and edited ICU FORUM, a national publication for critical care nurses. She has also done missionary work in Scotland, Mexico, the United States, Israel, and the USSR.
Her memoir, Truth Found Me: A Life Too Wild to Be Coincidence, has been simmering since 2010. Initially begun as background history for her daughters, it is now shared with the world as a legacy of vulnerability, faith, humor, and awe. It is both a personal pilgrimage and a heartfelt invitation to live courageously and seek Truth in every detour.
